Nope, not changing allegiances.  If you look closely at the front of this schedule, you will see that the pic features the Rogues' Henry McCully (12) and goalie Bill Mishalow.  The action is from the Rogues 2-1 win at Atlanta on August 5, 1979.

ROGUES PRE-SEASON vs COLORADO, 1978

Recently Dave Morrison at nasljerseys.com sent me this article about a Rogues vs Colorado Caribou pre-season game in 1978.  This game was played March 25, 1978 in Colorado Springs and saw the Rogues lose 2-0 to the Caribou.  During the season, the Rogues did the sweep of Colorado, beating them 2-0 at Memphis and 1-0 in Colorado.  Very special thanks to Dave Morrison for the article.

Bill Mishalow makes a save against the Drillers as Tom Nevers (L), John Faulkner (C), and Edmonton's Alex Schoenmaker (R) look on.  Memphis lost 4-1.  The photo caption incorrectly identifies Mishalow as Gene DuChateau.  It also says this is action from the first "quarter" of the game.

Tony Field fires the winning shot past Chicago Sting goalie Mervyn Cawston.  The Rogues got the win 3-2 in a shootout, July12, 1978 at the Liberty Bowl.

Cleveland Lewis was with the Rogues for the 1978 season.  He is the brother of Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis.

TONY FIELD, 1980

Tony Field challenges Ft. Lauderdale's Francisco Marinho in the opening game of the 1980 season.  The Rogues went on to beat the Strikers 2-1 in a shootout.

MORE ROGUES' GAME MUSIC

Booker T and the MGs hit "Green Onions" is another classic piece of Memphis music history.  Snippets of the song were played throughout Rogues' home games.  Enjoy this great 1960's live performance of "Green Onions" by Booker T and the MGs.

"SOUL FINGER" THE BAR-KAYS

I recently received an e-mail about the music played at Rogues home games.  One prominent song was "Soul Finger" by Memphis' own Bar-Kays.  A great song.  Enjoy this clip of the Bar-Kays performing "Soul Finger" in 1967.
