I have been trying to find one of these posters for years! It features Alan Birchenall and Phil Beal from a 1978 game against the Philadelphia Fury. I believe it was a mail order premium from the 1979 Topps NASL stickers. If anyone has one for sale, PLEASE let me know! ROGUES MINI-BALL, 1979

During the 1978-80 indoor season, the Rogues cheerleaders, the "Vogues," would throw these out to the crowd each time the Rogues scored a goal. I caught this one at a game in late 1979. It was autographed by Jado Hasanbegovic but unfortunately the signature has faded away.

ROGUES SOCCER CAMP CERTIFICATE, 1980

This is my Rogues Soccer Camp certificate. It was a week long day camp directed by Bobby Thomson. Danny Vaughn coached me and the other older kids (15-16 year old group). The 1980 camp was the first and only camp put on by the Rogues. After the '80 season they were off to Calgary.

THE ROGUES' FIGHT SONG

I wish I could get a recording of the song. It was sung by a guy using a bad, cokney accent but everyone loved it.

WELCOME!

Welcome to my tribute to the Memphis Rogues of the North American Soccer League. Both the team and the league were a big part of my life when I was a kid and I have never lost my fondness for them. The Memphis Rogues existed from 1978-1980 then moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and spent one season (1981) as the Calgary Boomers. After the '81 season, the team folded. I hope to bring back memories for other Rogues and NASL fans. I am also a longtime fan of Chelsea FC. There is a connection between the Rogues and Chelsea due to players like Eddie McCreadie, Charlie Cooke, Alan Birchenall, and a few others. I would enjoy hearing from other fans and former players. Most of the items displayed on the blog are from my personal collection. If you have Rogues pictures please send them and I will credit you as the source. If you are a former player, Rogues fan, or have photo scans to send PLEASE e-mail me at gorogues@gmail.com and I will gladly put them on the blog!
