MORE ROGUES' GAME MUSIC

Booker T and the MGs hit "Green Onions" is another classic piece of Memphis music history.  Snippets of the song were played throughout Rogues' home games.  Enjoy this great 1960's live performance of "Green Onions" by Booker T and the MGs.

"SOUL FINGER" THE BAR-KAYS

I recently received an e-mail about the music played at Rogues home games.  One prominent song was "Soul Finger" by Memphis' own Bar-Kays.  A great song.  Enjoy this clip of the Bar-Kays performing "Soul Finger" in 1967.

BEFORE THEY WERE ROGUES: VIDEO EDITION

This video is from the 1970 Cup Final replay between Chelsea and Leeds United.  It is considered to be one of the roughest and dirtiest matches ever played.  This clip shows future Memphis Rogues manager Eddie McCreadie (3) of Chelsea hammer Leeds United's Billy Bremner.  Ah' the good old days!  Crappy pitch, plain uniforms, BLACK cleats, and bad ass players!  I miss those days.

NASL LOGO SIGN, 1978

This sign was placed outside of the main entrance to Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.  It was there from 1978 to 1980 and was taken away after the team was sold and moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  I don't know if it went to Calgary or was discarded.
