THE MEMPHIS ROGUES: FIRST TENNESSEE BANK, 1979

WELCOME!

Welcome to my tribute to the Memphis Rogues of the North American Soccer League. Both the team and the league were a big part of my life when I was a kid and I have never lost my fondness for them. The Memphis Rogues existed from 1978-1980 then moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada and spent one season (1981) as the Calgary Boomers. After the '81 season, the team folded. I hope to bring back memories for other Rogues and NASL fans. I am also a longtime fan of Chelsea FC. There is a connection between the Rogues and Chelsea due to players like Eddie McCreadie, Charlie Cooke, Alan Birchenall, and a few others. I would enjoy hearing from other fans and former players. Most of the items displayed on the blog are from my personal collection. If you have Rogues pictures please send them and I will credit you as the source.
