THE ROGUES' FIGHT SONG

I wish I could get a recording of the song.  It was sung by a guy using a bad, cokney accent but everyone loved it.

"KORNER KICK," THE ROGUES INDOOR MASCOT, 1980

Portland had "Timber Jim," San Jose had "Crazy George," and the Memphis Rogues had... "Korner Kick!"  He (?) debuted during the 1979 - 80 indoor season.  I remember that the general fan reaction was, "What the hell IS that?" Korner Kick was a large, yellow thing in a red uniform sporting the number 1/3.  I remember it scared the crap out of some of the little kids.  Still, Korner Kick IS a part of Rogues' history so he (?) deserves a mention.

ROGUES FIRST INDOOR GOAL, 1979

This photo is titled "First Rogues goal - indoor season" but I am not sure that is correct.  It pictures the Rogues vs the Rowdies at the Mid-South Coliseum in Memphis.  The Rowdies were in the other division and did not play at Memphis until game 1 of the 2 game championship series.  The Rogues won the first game at home and lost the second game and the mini-game at Tampa to give the Rowdies the NASL indoor championship.

Just to make a correction, the Sting player identified as "Paul" Advocaat is actually Dick Advocaat who recently managed the Dutch national team.
